Website redesign SEO

Rebuild the website without abandoning its search history.

A redesign changes more than colours and copy. URLs, internal links, templates, metadata and render behaviour can all affect what search engines and visitors find.

Short answer

A safe redesign begins with an inventory: which pages earn impressions, which URLs are useful, which URLs should redirect and which pages should not survive the new structure.

Keep the right pages

Do not copy every legacy page into a new design. Assign one owner page for each useful intent, consolidate near-duplicates and map important old URLs deliberately.

Redirect with purpose

Google recommends a planned approach to moves with URL changes. Redirects need a relevant destination and should be checked after launch, not merely generated in a spreadsheet. Google's site-move guidance is the reference point.

Validate after launch

A launch is not the end of the SEO work. We check key URL responses, canonicals, sitemaps, Search Console signals and the contact journey before calling a migration stable.
